What a Wild Ride!
Full rewind to 2008, I had a thriving window covering business where I provided blinds for the new home construction industry which I had been doing for many years. It seemed like overnight we were hit with a recession that changed everything. The housing market collapsed and builders stopped building and my business dried up without warning. My wife was pregnant with our first child and was experiencing complications and I found myself in a very challenging situation. Our first child was born in January of 2009 and spent a month in the NICU, my wife had continued health concerns and our insurance company refused to pay and we were facing over $100k in hospital bills. Mom and baby started to thrive yet my back was against the wall and I decided that whatever I did next would be fulfilling and not just about the money. I landed on the idea of offering after school programs for children, so I spent some time figuring out how that would work. I printed up some flyers and started visiting schools. I remember my first school because I was speaking with the receptionist asking who I should talk to about my program when that person walked by and the receptionist pointed and said "there she is now". Kim stopped and talked to me for a few minutes and decided to give me a shot. I launched my first class and was off to the races, I learned everything I could and I poured myself into the role and continued to add more and more schools. I quickly become affectionately known as "Coach Mike". I actually had no prior coaching experience, nor experience in working with children, but I learned quickly. I was soon offering more programs than I could coach be myself and I started hiring assistant coaches to help. I continued adding schools and growing my business as parents asked for more programs because they loved my tennis program so much. So over the coming months and years I added golf, multi-sportz, and most recently, pickleball. I learned a lot about the industry over the years and I had systemized everything because I wanted to offer the absolute best programs possible, and I did that. I hired nice, friendly people and taught them how to operate classes the way I do; safe, fun and challenging. I created an easy follow curriculum for each class, put together a strong coaches training guide and continued to grow. I then wanted to grow my program even more so I put together an entire step-by-step system to help others implement this same system in their market areas. I've since helped people launch their programs on a license basis using the tools and strategies I created over the years and have launched programs in over 20 cities across Georgia and Florida and have most recently launched a Nationwide initiative to have Kidz Tennis and Sportz programs across the country. My goal is to remove the financial barrier that keeps people from being able to launch a program. My competitors charge upwards of $100,000 to get started PLUS up to 15% of the revenue they generate. My system is simple, I provide the tools you need, the curriculum, the name, the logo, training manuals, forms and a step-by-step system all for just $4,995 with an annual license renewal of just $249. I have helped over 10,000 participants in my various programs, and before I retire I want to help others do the exact same thing. This is a very little known industry, a $27 billion industry that is growing fast and expected to reach $47 billion by 2032. Now is the time to take action and this is your opportunity to work less, earn more, and create a balanced life with tons of time off to enjoy it. I hope to see you either enrolling your kids in our programs or deciding to offer these programs in your area. -Coach Mike
