About our Systems
Upon check-in and after snack time, we meet with our group to go over our "daily activities" and the children get to decide which activities they participate in that day! Children who are signed up for optional enrichments will meet with their instructors on their given day to attend those activities.
We then get into our groups and rotate through a series of activities approximately every 45 minutes.
All children will be given an opportunity to complete any homework assignments for the day and our staff will be on hand to provide guidance to help children better understand what is expected.

Life Skillz Examples

This is a small example of our vast selection of Life Skillz actvities that are delivered based on age-appropriate learning levels.
Why "Life Skillz"?
Life skills are vital aspects of child development that are not part of the educational curriculum. We also understand that they are difficult to teach when other children are not present. Example: our social development series teaches children how to interact with other children/adults, introduce themselves, introduce others, and ask questions while others are speaking. We also provide children the opportunity for public speaking on a topic in which they are knowledgeable and comfortable to get them used to it.
Enrichments (ASTEAM)
Going beyond STEM, with our ASTEAM-based enrichments which provide children with opportunities to learn more about the arts, science, technology, engineering and math. Our goal is to provide fun, age-appropriate introductions into these educational elements so that children enjoy the process of learning new things. We have found that children who often dislike a certain school subject find interest in that subject through the projects we offer.
A Different Type of Learning
When children learn by experience without the concern of getting graded on it, they are more relaxed, more involved and take a more vested interest in the subject matter. We partner with our schools by placing an emphasis on areas in which test scores are lower to try and enhance interest in those areas by offering a different learning perspective!
Summer Camps
Summer Camp programs are offered at select participating elementary schools over the summer weeks.
Camps are held Monday-Friday and times may vary.

What Activities Are There?
We make sure to keep the kids moving and we change activities often! We provide a selection board for the available activities each day so that children can plan ahead so they don't miss the activities they like most! There is also plenty of free-play time, down time for reading, snacks and lunch. As well as organized crafts, projects, music and sing-alongs, sports and competitions of all kinds!

Detailed After-Care Handbook
We have prepared an after-school guide that provides our school partners with a detailed outline of how we handle every aspect of our child-care system. This includes registration and payments, check in and check out procedures, handling arguments, discipline, homework and guidance, restroom policies, buddy system policies, ouch reports, emergency and first aid, as well as disaster scenarios for tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, floods, intruders, suspicious persons and more.
